2016… Go for it every year!

At the start of 2016 I promised myself I’d pursue my passion, be a little selfish, focus on my dream, leave London and surround myself with positive energy…

And November has been mental, I’m so busy but at least I learn something new every day. I’m working full time, studying full time and planning full time…

The gym I work at has taught me a few things, the people I’ve met too. Yes my preference is CrossFit, fat burning strength and condition and Sports. But I’m humble and open minded, I love listening and learning from everyone. There’s a body builder at my gym who hates CrossFit, treats it like a plague. Personally body building is not my cuppa tea, but I wouldn’t hate on it. I’m content learning from body builders, i.e what is the most effective movement / workout one needs to do for a specific muscle group etc. I’m taking in as much as I can, I believe that no matter how many books you read / how experienced you are, there is always room for learning and improvement. Everyone has a story to tell.

I dislike the whole making money side of working at this current gym i.e hitting sales / retail targets. Personally coming from a sports background and entering the fitness industry was for helping others not chasing their wallet… But like I said Learning = growth.

I fell in love with CrossFit because I found it suited me, I care not for looks, I care more for positive life changes. For mental growth, performance and kindness…

When I walk in a CrossFit box I see people of all ages, shape and size. I see them giving it their best and having fun whilst doing it. My technique improved when I joined CrossFit, evidently it is essential considering the weightlifting work. Yes I implement CrossFit methods to my workouts and clients. Why? why not, it’s fantastic. Let’s face it, who simply wants to sit on a machine and get bored to death doing leg curls? When you can run, jump and lift, have fun whilst obtaining your body composition.

Basically what I’m telling you is to explore and mix it up a bit. That’s what I do with my life, with my clients and advice anyone to.

Happy weekend! 🙂
